Updates and a new layout

I haven't posted anything for the past weeks. I wish I could blog more often but work has to take most of 'our' time.

Here are a few updates about me:
  • I have few layouts that I wish to share but most of them aren't allowed to be shown yet hehehe. Some are posted at the Scrapstreet August issue, some are my layouts for Scrapbukan. Give me some more time to share them with you here on my blog.
  • I wasn't able to finish the Scraplove's Summer of Scraplovin' Challenge. Sadly, I had to quit.
  • I wasn't able to graduate on my photography class. Jeff and I missed two sessions that we need to attend make up classes.
  • I had my make over last week! And it was super fun! For one day, I felt like a celebrity hehehe (sige na pagbigyan nyo na ko!). I'll blog about that on a separate post.
Well, anyway, I don't want to go to more details. Here's a layout I made as part of my BasicGrey Infuse kit from Scrapbukan.

I love this photo of Ethan. This would be one of my favorite layouts ever!

Materials used: BasicGrey Infuse - Stew, Invest, and Instill, BG die shapes (flowers), BG Sweet Meat Mini Monograms - all courtesy of Scrapbukan, Uniball Signo pen, quote: May Free {Pea} kit by Rhonna Farrer

Tres Marias y Tres Amigos

Finally the Scrapbukan "Three" Challenge is over. I have just seen the entries and I must say that I'm in awe with the great talents of the Filipina scrappers. All the entries are already winners on its' own right! Congrats to all those who took the time and effort to make these masterpieces.
If you haven't seen the entries yet, go and find out about it through the Scrapbukan blog.
Here are the layouts I've made in the spirit of the "Three" Challenge! By the way, Scrapbukan will be turning "three" this August! What a fun way to celebrate it by this challenge.

Hidden journaling:
You are my soul sisters. We discovered this love for the craft way back as members in Scrapbooks Exchange. And we quickly became close friends. As friends and scrappers, we continue to grow separately without growing apart. We’ve become so close that one can speak fearlessly on any subject; sharing one’s deepest as well as most foolish thoughts … without inhibitions and without worry. Each win each one has is like shared joy. The triumph of one is the triumph of the other. I am so lucky to have known you – someone to lean on, someone to count on … someone to tell on. I will forever be grateful for your friendship.

Note: A huge thank you to my friend Nina Pateña for helping me out with the journaling of this layout! I could really count on you sis! You made things easy for me! Mwah!

Materials used: My Mind’s Eye Tres Jolie (Birthday Boy Circle) and BasicGrey chipboard block Alphas - courtesy of Scrapbukan, Bazzill brown cardstock, BasicGrey mini monos (no.3), Making Memories and Reeves acrylic paint, Hambly Screen Prints – Journaling Bits (transparency), BasicGrey rub ons – Calligraphy, Fancy Pants Biggest Board – Fancy Flourishes, 7 Gypsies rub ons – Fortunes Numero, Zig Writer pen, note pad paper

Journaling: I can't help but smile when I think how these three became best friends. They became college buddies buddies in 1998. Soon after, RJ got married. Jeff stood as bestman and Carlo as groomsman. Then Jeff married me and got RJ and Leo as his bestmen. RJ had a daughter, Jeff and Leo became godparents. Jeff and I had Ethan and we got RJ and Leo as godparents. Next year, Carlo plans to wed, I wonder what roles Jeff and RJ will play.

You three are all tangled up in your own web of friendship ... And I hope it remains this way till you three lose your hair ... Ooops! I mean till your hair turns gray! Haha!
