Album Sample - Moira

We've received a lot of inquiries on how an actual printed album looks like. Here's an actual sample of how the layout I made for Moira's album turned out. This album is a 20 pages 6x6 inches (6x12 in. spread) magazine style digital storybook album. The photos are printed in boardbook-type material and undergoes special lamination which makes it water proof and scratch proof. It also doesn't have a cut in the mid-section giving a continuous and smooth flow for photos especially those laid out in spread. This type of album is also available in 8x8 inches (8x12 in. spread).

Garren Christopher's Baptism

Kung Hei Fat Choi! The first day of the Chinese New Year was perfect to have Garren's Christening. Congratulations Edmond and Karen for pulling off a grand celebration. So why do I say it's grand? First because it's Chinese New Year, second because Garren was baptized this day, and third, because Garren also celebrated his 1st (post) birthday party! Everything was perfect... from the church, the program, food, up to the simple yet elegant setup of the reception venue. Not to mention the fantastic AVP produced by Daddy and directed and made by Mommy herself! I really enjoyed taking photos of this event. Edmond and Karen were very warm and accomodating. Great couple! Thank you very much again Karen and Edmond! It was a pleasure shooting photos for you guys.

Here are some of the edited photos included in the package that Edmond and Karen got. Watch out soon for their magazine style digital storybook... And by the way, don't forget to click on the link below or search the gallery to see more of Garren's photos.

2007 Scrapbook Layouts

2006 was a year I felt fulfilled with my scrapbooking. I was able to finish two 12"x12" scrapbook albums, one - still unfinished (for my dad and mom) : ), two 6"x6" mini gift albums, a few greeting cards and some altered projects. I must admit I'm a sloooow scrapper and still learning a lot... but hey, I am enjoying, really I am!

This year, I want to create more layouts ... I told myself I need to make atleast 3 layouts a week. Here I go again with my wishful thinking! Of course, it's not at all happening! But who knows I might be able to..it's too early to say. For this week, I finished a 20 page 8"x8" album, it's for a client though hehehe. Last week, I finished two 12x12 layouts! Hmmm... I wonder how many layouts I can do by next week? Let's see! In the meantime, I'm sharing with you my works! Thanks for looking!

Here's a layout I made about the difficulties I am experiencing while "trying" to wean my two year old son, Ethan. I have breastfed Ethan since birth. I thought that by 2 years old, it should be easy to wean him but little did I know that it could even be harder for me! : D

Title: Wean Me Gently
Materials used: BasicGrey Dasher (Partridge in a Pear Tree), transparency, Bazill cardstock (for the photo corners), American Crafts felt flowers, buttons, and ribbon

This photo was taken when Ethan was only one and half months old. I honestly feel that I miss him sleeping like this. Now, at two years old, he rarely does this anymore. In fact, even if I ask him, he will not oblige : (

Title: Cradle of Love
Materials used: BasicGrey Blush (Eternity, Crush and Fancy), Color Me Silly (Play, letter stickers and tag), Bazzill cardstock, vellum, Bazill big buttons, fabric tab, Li'l Davis letter rub-ons, Zig Writer pen and ribbon

This layout was inspired from a scrapbooker at twopeasinabucket. I love this photo of Ethan. He looks so "guapo" (a Spanish term for handsome)!

Title: El Guapo
Materials used: Paper Salon Tailored Tins (Fancy Flourishes), Scenic Route letter chipboard, Making Memories paint (black for the first coat), red acrylic paint, Colorbox white ink, HamblyScreen Prints (Journal Bits), Fancy Pants Free Spirit (Storm), strips of paper: We 'R Memory Keepers, BasicGrey Blush (Boyfriend), Fancy Pants, and BasicGrey Wholly Cow rub ons (Flourishes)

I used the same sketch for my layout, El Guapo. But this time, to make it look playful and colorful, I added buttons in my layout and positioned the strips of paper alternately.

Title: Ethan @ 2
Materials used:
Heidi Swapp plastic letters, BasicGrey Color Me Silly (Learn, Explore, Curiosity, Doodle, Enjoy, Wonder, Create and Spirit); Gin X Scientifically Weird (Lisa Tells All), Gon X coasters (About a Boy), buttons, Colorbox Ink, white pen, Editing software: Adobe Photoshop CS
